Sitting here back on home turf after a week in the Bayou. Could not let the heat get to us but it did. Did not stop us from doing much but we did spend a little more time indoors and swimming for good reason. Was such a good time in NOLA as it never lets down. Good food, huge turn out for Voodoo, and great vibe for BMX. Huge congrats to the tops and also the poised and entertaining Super Kids making the trek all the way here from Japan. Every rider traveled a long ways to attend the last jam and everyone was hyped. Lots of photos, the video, and click the links as they are incredible the amount of good that is going on right now. Matt Coplon has been in Milwaukee for a week also tearing it up and working on some new stuff…boss handled some riding including that monster rail and curved wall. More on his trip soon. And I got in a few little jibs before getting asked to leave. Instagram this week are insane with Thomas Noyer, Tom Villarreal, Matt Closson, and myself. Hit the play button and scroll down in enjoyment. Holla. -Chad D

Voodoo super kids plus TA bike giveaway

Just finished this video…hard to not get excited on this…damn good times. Enjoy this…Here is the info:
Voodoo Jam 2015 is in the books and could have been the best flatland event to date…or ever. With additions with the Super Kids from Japan this added so much to the event. They are rad little kids at 11 and 13 years old killing it and so dialed. They worked the crowd and rode amazing…even pulling off a double decade first try. All riders and the crowd went absolutely nuts. Also TA gave his heart and his complete bike away to a young and up and coming ripping rider @connorwenselbmx . There were tears from a lot of people and Terry was quoted as saying “One of the best moments in my BMX career giving away my bike was better than winning any contest…after seeing his face I must admit I had tears in my eyes” Go check out all this and know #growbmx is making some moves. MATT COPLON “Day three. Milwaukee. Sweating to the oldies while barreling down some newbies.” GOING FOR A LONG RIDE ON THIS RAIL. @matt_coplon

Coplon Milwaukee long boy

With construction at the Bayou Vista Community center or “The Swamp” with additions to the park and a mini put put course it was closed. The park is actually done so I have no idea why they have it all closed. But since the gate was open and I only was there for the day…along with 95 degrees and 100 heat index there was no one around for good reason. This park it awesome and unique with the alligator head in the middle, great trannies, good flow, and fun as hell. But with all good things and having the park to myself had to come to an end with an old crusty neighbor who thought I was a kid. He was blown away I was riding the park and as he was asking numerous dumb questions I though his head was going to explode with my answers…killed him with kindness which he wanted a fight. He called the sheriff but I got out before they ran me off. Waved at him “good bye”, clocked only a few clips, sweat out about a gallon of fluids in 20 minutes, but had a blast and so happy to ride this little gem near Morgan City Louisiana. -Chad DeGroot.
